Message from the Founders

Dear Family and Friends:

We are very proud of the strides we are making at Voices Against Brain Cancer (VABC). Your generous support has enabled us to help many people in the brain cancer community through innovative research grants, clinical trials, and support groups. We want to sincerely thank all the donors, volunteers, Board and Committee Members, and everybody who attended Sounding Off For A Cure in 2009.

We remain committed to our mission of finding a cure for brain cancer by advancing scientific research, increasing awareness within the medical community and supporting patients and families afflicted with this devastating disease. We are proud that our Medical Advisory Board continues to grow. These doctors and researchers from across the country are one of our best assets since they review all grant requests sent to VABC and recommend the ones that are most likely to get results and help cure brain cancer.

With your help, we continue to fund research studies that improve treatment and quality of life, but survival rates remain low. Brain cancer can affect people of every age, gender, ethnicity and health history. Each year, many people in the United States are diagnosed with a primary or metastatic brain tumor. There are hundreds of different types of brain tumors, resulting in highly variable symptoms and survival rates. There are currently no known causes of brain cancer.

Please help us in this urgent fight. Make a donation, volunteer your time, join the Board or Committee, or attend an upcoming fundraising event, like the Sounding Off For A Cure Benefit Concert at The Hammerstein in New York City.

Let’s work together to find a cure and Raise Our Voices Against Brain Cancer!

Sincerely,

The Lichtenstein Family
